Transaction Finalization Issue Detected, Halting Operations on StaFi Chain

We are urgently addressing a critical issue on the StaFi Chain, impacting the finalization of all transactions, including those involving our native FIS token and various rTokens (rDOT, rKSM, rFIS). This disruption also affects cross-chain functionalities, despite ongoing block production.

It‘s important to note that rETH, rMATIC, and rBNB are not impacted by this issue.

Our preliminary investigations into the system logs have not identified any errors. The StaFi Chain, developed on Substrate 2.0, has maintained a largely stable framework until this point. Our development team is fully committed to resolving this issue as swiftly as possible, and we are actively collaborating with Parity, the builder of Substrate and Polkadot, to troubleshoot the issues.

We understand the urgency and potential impact on our users. Transparency and timely updates are our top priorities, and we are dedicated to keeping the community informed as we work towards a resolution.

We appreciate your patience and support during this time, and we are dedicated to restoring full functionality to the StaFi Chain as quickly as possible.

:hammer_and_wrench: Transaction Finalization Issue on StaFi Chain Resolved

We are pleased to announce that the recent transaction finalization issue on the StaFi Chain has been successfully resolved approximately 8 hours ago. Since the resolution, the system has been under continuous observation to ensure stable operations.

:mag: Cause:
Upon thorough investigation, it was determined that the root cause of the issue stemmed from some faulty validators failing to perform Grandpa votes, which led to a halt in transaction finality.

:wrench: Resolution:
Utilizing StaFi Chain’s mechanism, faulty validators were replaced by optimally functioning validators, restoring block finality and ensuring smooth operations.

As of now, the StaFi Chain operations have fully resumed and are functioning normally. We extend our sincere gratitude for your patience and steadfast support during this period.

Should you encounter any further issues or have any questions, feel free to reach out. Your collaboration is crucial in maintaining the robustness and integrity of the StaFi Protocol.

A big thank you to our community for your unwavering support!
